Aaron Ogunde is a passionate advocate for African Entrepreneurship. With years of experience in the startup ecosystem, he aims to empower aspiring and current founders to navigate their journeys successfully.
My work co-founding & leading Jiji Health — building impactful digital health solutions and earning recognition through the Head of State Commendation (HSC) — has shown me firsthand how critical the right mindset is for founders. These experiences inspired me to write this book and share the lessons that shaped and continue to inspire my journey.
My previous book, The Cheat Sheet for Running a Start-up in Africa, has become a crucial resource for entrepreneurs, providing practical lessons and strategies. In this latest piece, I focused more on the essential mindset that opens doors.
My way of giving back is through speaking at startup forums, mentoring emerging founders, and writing to empower entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams boldly — even in the face of adversity.

Aaron's reflections are deeply personal yet universal. They are grounded in realism and enriched by references to icons like Nelson Mandela and Safaricom's success story. He reassures us that the challenges we face today mean Africa is on the brink of greatness, provided we see these challenges as oppotunities.
Between Your Ears is a timely and rich resource. By emphasizing soft skills such as discipline, integrity, and purpos, the author speaks to forming the mindset neccessary to sustain and scale success through lived lessons on resilience and emotional intelligence.
